Steve Moss & Associates was established in 1994, and operated from Johannesburg, South Africa. In November 2003, Mtshali Moss Projects Africa was formed to gradually replace SMA, providing the same services, infrastructure, key personnel, specialist skills and philosophy provided by SMA for 10 years.
